The starting wage for this role is $27.00/hour with monthly and quarterly incentive bonus opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate locomotive

  • Switch railroad cars in a timely manner

  • Maintain records and reports

  • Band and secure railcars

  • Work with other rail served departments 

 
REQUIREMENTS :

  • Ability to walk tracks, check railcars and climb stairs

  • Must be able to qualify as a switch crew operator in a reasonable period of time

  • Ability to work in outside environment

  • Ability to work in a self-directed team environment

  • Must be a self-starter, organized, with problem solving skills

  • Must have excellent oral communication skills

  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word, OIS)

  • Successful completion of ergonomics evaluation 

  • Experience in railroad switching and equipment operation preferred
